i never found weathered bullets or any of the exchanges between him and the PJ board remotely entertaining.
Clubber pretending to be a moderator on the main page boards and threatening people; i think that was as hard as i ever laughed on the rs.com boards. Indo and his Oasis/beatles posts on the main page boards were a very close second.

i thought WB was freaking hilarious. especially when someone asked him "shouldn't you be in school right now?" on a friday, and he responded with "NO! IT"S SATURDAY, IDIOT!! LOLOLOL"
clubber pretending to be a moderator was hilarious. i also thought it was great when clubber and jizz ganged up on that "keep zepping" girl.

*shudders @ WB's memory* I'm w/chem, I couldn't stand WB, not even in a "Mystery Science Theater 3000" context, I mean, I'd read his all -caps comments, and my expression would not waver or change, I remained deadpan throughout every post he ever made, because I think I saw through them to the IDJIT underneath who typed em, AND WHAT I SAW WEREN'T PRETTY, LOLOL
But yeah, if I miss anyone from those days the most, its definitely Jizz Fritter. Sure hope he's still patrolling the friendly skies. . ..

jizz fritter was the one PJ poster I did not like.
anyway, I thought most of WB's schtick was pretty retarded, but when he was acting like such an idiot that even that MOP dick would get mad at him, that was pretty damn funny. also the "ARE YOU SLOW?" post was amazing.
yeah, Clubber as the moderator was killer, especially when he "banned" me and evac. I also liked that time that JCNeil kept saying how Roger Daltrey sounds terrible when he sings Stairway to Heaven, and didn't catch on for like 5 straight hours of teasing.

I posted something in Nov 2001 about the top 50 essential albums, I think it might have been 90's specific but I don't recall. I'd come back every two weeks or so to see if there was any response, but it was actually when I stumbled upon an argument between surf_wax and louee on another main board that I was hooked for good. The thing was going on in real time and it was fascinating to watch, with the whole "refresh every minute and something new will be there" thing going on. I ended up telling louee that even though I didn't agree with her, I respected her tenacity and resolve in the argument. She inexplicably then responded by calling me a jerk or something of the sort, which shocked me completely, and I responded with my very first hardcore snark remark, which was to be the first of many. This was around January, and by April I had entrenched myself into the main boards as one of the most ubiquitous figures, mainly because I fucking responded to every post there was.

haha, I know precisely what you mean, Ben. " first hardcore snarky remark" = lol worthy comment, there. Yeah we were all "Snark Virgins" @ 1 tender point in our burgeoning posting careers, I'd wager. I started off as a self-proclaimed Defener Of The Korn Board, and no trolls were safe from my ruthlessness, signed ~ThoRn In yer spInez

Man, that's really hilarious that most of us started on RS looking to make fun of people.
Chem, thanks for reminding me about Top 10. Dunno how I forgot that board, being that it played a huge part in keeping me around. Think I had the second list ever on there, which was "Top Ten Porn Stars" or something. I used to be really into the porn industry back then, and spent loads (bahaha) of time studying up on that shit.
The Drooge thing was pure inanity. Great fun, but intensely lame to anyone who wasn't in on the joke. It was basically a band of really tight-nit posters who frequented all the same boards, picked on newbies, were snobby as shit with music, and declared (pretty successful) war on whatever trolls walked through the door. They (and eventually, "we") did a lot of battle with the likes of Lysergic Aaron and...damnit, that guy's name is on the tip of my tongue, but he used to always be at war with JACkory.
But yeah, there was General Clicker on down...it got a little carried away and eventually self-destructed, leading to the Insect Lounge vs. Clicker's Cave.
As for JAC...I dunno if he was more wacky now or then. I've always liked the guy, maybe it's because I've just hung out with him on here for so long. But "back in the day", he used to literally post page after page, stoned shitless, of all kinds of deranged weirdness. It was crazy.
The boards went through a phase where nobody really trusted anybody, and that's when everything got all weird and then JAC had the whole Christian thing...I dunno. He's always been a weird guy, and probably isn't anymore sane now than he was back then. He's just not as high these days, I think, and there's nothing more grouchy than a stoner without his weed.

I wish i had a good memory like you guys cause some of these old RS.com stories had me laughing my ass off. Good times..
I started in the spring of 2000. I hadn't had a computer since my Commodore 64 so i was searching for places to chat or post just cause it was new and amusing. I'm not sure how i stumbled upon rs.com but i ventured to the PJ board. My first couple of posts were just awful and i'm surprised i didn't get run out of the board. As for who was posting when i got there, i have no idea. My brain is toast

you were invited, you whore! Eh. Shows how much it meant to me. It obviously meant a lot more to you, which is understandable, what with me being so awesome and all. The only board I really miss is the Sex Board. The dynamic and illusion of privacy can never be duplicated here. I seriously loved that board. Not it that matters anyway, Billy done r-u-n-n-o-f-t and Dolly and jllm have since forsaken us. But while it lasted, it was beautiful. I do really miss ID tho. He was a funny kid, I wonder what became of him. Now that it no longer exists, who here will finally admit that they read it all the time? Filthy lurkers.
